Camille Primous

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Camille invites her clients to ask the question, “what might it feel like to return home to yourself?” She understands that there are many factors that lead to a sense of alienation and disconnection from our bodies, our values, and our relationships that can leave us feeling disempowered in our lives. Camille works with her clients to explore how experiences of trauma, intersecting with experiences of privilege and oppression, contribute to ways of coping that might lead us to feel less than choiceful. She understands that many of these coping strategies are smart, and exist in an effort to keep ourselves safe in the world. She understands that many things we experience such as difficult relationships with food and our bodies, perfectionism, and avoidance make sense in the face of trauma and oppression. Camille partners with her clients to move beyond just survival, working to create space, where things once felt small.

Camille understands that it isn’t her job to have all of the answers. She is here as a curious and astute observer who wants to partner with clients as they learn and attune to patterns that keep them stuck, supporting them in creating paths to greater healing and connection.

As a biracial black woman, she believes in the importance of understanding the intersections of our social identities and how they inform the relationship we have with food and our bodies. With this, she hopes to hold space and advocate for who clients are in all their multitudes. With the utmost compassion, care, and patience, Camille empowers clients to engender change in their lives that brings them to a place of greater abundance and radical self-love. Camille wants nothing more than to support her clients in returning home to themselves through healing the connection and relationship to food and body, while reconnecting them to their values that give their lives meaning.

Outside of being a clinician, Camille enjoys playing outside in nature, connecting with her loved ones, and dancing. She teaches salsa dancing and enjoys being a dance student, learning and growing in different ways to connect to her body. She is a lifetime Seattleite who loves good coffee, eating delicious food, and reading in the sun when it decides to come out.
