Becca Emrick

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Through our experiences with trauma, our families or origin, environment, and systems of oppression, we learn survival strategies that keep us safe. Later in life, these survival strategies can leave us feeling stuck, trapped, or out of control. Becca will work with you to accept and thank these survival parts that kept you safe in the past, let them know that you are safe now, and help them find peace. Letting go of survival skills that are no longer serving you is brave and important work.

Becca believes that people’s stories matter. Sharing our stories, and the meaning that we create together, is the birthplace of healing. Becca is grateful to everyone who is willing to share their story.

Becca holds that everyone is an expert in themselves. She brings curiosity and a steady, compassionate acceptance to clients as they tune in to themselves. Becca is passionate about collaboration, and believes that by working together we can co-create a path to healing.

Our bodies have a profound ability to heal. Together, you and Becca will build the safety needed to allow the body to feel and process past events. Although pain can feel insurmountable, Becca believes everyone is capable of healing and building a future that is meaningful to them.

Becca identifies as a white, queer, cisgender woman. Becca finds energy and joy in going for long walks, cooking with others, hanging out with her many niblings (both human and 4-legged), being in large bodies of water, and learning something new.
